We have allowed Rovian GOP to run this way too long! There are a lot of legal citizens that hate our country and we embrace them claiming freedom. Rubio loves America. Where is his Freedom! I celebrate his love and welcoming arms for those patriots and immigrants who love America and happen to speak Spanish!

We should all welcome them.

Rove has a strange model, which seems to be rich older WASP RINO male...that's why he had a crush on Romney, who lost us an election that I really didn't think could be lost.

I think both of you will find that I'm a reasonable, non-volatile FReeper capable of having a civil discussion. Check my posting history if you wish and let me know if you find otherwise. With that background, I'd like to ask both of you for your opinions in a non-argumentative manner and without a gotcha intent. Instead, I'm just interested in the viewpoints of other intelligent Conservatives (which both of you clearly are) on a matter tangential to use of the Spanish language. If you will, I'll depart from that specific aspect of what may or may not constitute pandering.

Here in Texas, by far the largest Spanish speaking demographic is Mexican. We have a number of businesses that cater to that market segment and in a free enterprise system, certain tactics are used to appeal to that group. Do you think using the Mexican colors (red, white and green) for logos and other identifications is pandering or merely shrewd marketing?

What about businesses, owned by legal citizens of Mexican descent, that fly the Mexican flag (often seen on car lots around here) to attract customers? Do you find this acceptable?

Sarah Palin wears a pin with the flags of the United States and Israel. What would you think about a politician running for office here in Texas with a similar flag pin comprised but with the Mexican tri-color?

Like I said, I'm not trying to make this antagonistic but am curious about where you draw the line in terms of accommodation?
