Wonderful and uplifting prose! However the vast majority of Americans are now low-information voters. I see that constantly when Jay Leno sends out a person to interview people on the street at random. They know not who is the VP of USA but know who is Justin Beeber thoroughly. Once very proud people of Russia, China & India were seduced by the socialist propaganda which essentially told them the rich will pay their fair share and you all will get a fair shot (sound familiar?). People always fall for free stuff. Current crop of Americans is no smarter than people of Russia, China or India. I have zero doubt after watching Obama get re-elected easily that we are on a path to socialism. Of course eventually people found out socialism is just trickle up poverty. Now Russia has flat tax, China has 150 new Billionaires and one MILLION new millionaires. India economy has grown at 6%+ for last 10 years. USA will also come back from socialism but it usually takes 40+ years to wake up.
We need a quicker learning curve back to capitalism than that! I’ll be dead and gone.
