Elections are term limits .....vote !

Concentrating on defeating election fraud seems to be the priority right now...

Ensure our votes are valid an counted .....

My opinion.

If we want incumbents to actually lose periodically the path is to get rid of campaign finance “reform”, which accomplishes none of the stated goals of reducing the money influence but every time it gets stricter the incumbent reelection rate goes up.

I agree with all of those....BUT....how you going to get them passed?

In my dreams while hunkered down in a bunker waiting for troops from Obama's National Civilian Community Corps to blow the doors off.

Term limits are NOT the answer for voter stupidity.

The Founders did not impart term limits off the bat for a reason. We were number one in the world, because we had the best education system in the world.

Voter stupidity is a symptom of a larger problem. The Federal government needs to get out of education, and unions need to be banned from the education systems in the state-run era of public education.

Federally-run education is an abortion and should be immediately shut down. States should then focus on CIVICS and the basics of living in a constitutional republic.

Pie-in-the-sky, warm-feelings, never-gonna-happen scenario, but that’s the root of our issues. Liberals have controlled the education systems in this country for too long and have summarily turned out increasingly retarded kids out into the world as “educated.”

Term limits are a double-edged sword. They get rid of some good conservatives as well.

Better still I'm more in favor of Revolution. America needs a complete toilet flush. Term limits would just be one solid reason that we must have it.

I would rather have an amendment that prevented Congress from excluding themselves from the laws that they make

OMG. They'd never write another oppressive law again. With a flat tax, they wouldn't be pushing tax increases on everyone else, either.

This is a good one. There's no reason they shouldn't be subject to the same laws as those they "SERVE".

Since those elected had to ride a horse or a bumpy coach
to work many miles, the FF, didn’t think many would want
to serve more than two terms. Now, of course, we can’t get
them out since the unions and benefactors control the vote.

Yes.
and Yes.

Provided...

The issue is solely term limits for the House and Senate... NO OTHER SNEAKY DEAL BREAKERS. I don't trust the liberal/progressive slime currently in control.

With the clear record of stupid, unethical, and immoral elected bottom-feeders, the issue should be clear to anyone with an IQ over 60.

Nothing wrong with a term-limit amendment for Legislators — the precedent has already been set in the 22nd Amendment, and there should be no distinction between the branches of the Federal Government. It might not be a bad idea to also put some limits on the Supreme Court, given their almost unimpeachable power.

We can also do without a few existing Amendments, specifically the 17th and 18th…

Maybe it’d be just another part of the Constitution everyone ignores, but it couldn’t hurt.

“Could a Constitutional Amendment for Term Limits get passed, and would you support it?”

No answer is needed, because this will NEVER happen.

Neither the Republicans or the ‘rats of both houses of Congress are going to vote to pass such an amendment.

Anyone who believes that this could pass Congress is beyond naiive.

The only chance this could be enacted as a Constitutional amendment is by a Constitutional convention convened by the states. The chances of one of those are next to none, as well.

But from Congress?
Forgeddaboutit.

C’mon folks — this is supposed to be a conservative forum, eh?
The foundation of conservatism is to “see reality as it is”, understand it, and then act rationally and accordingly...

What do you think, politicians actually know anything about the laws they pass and the bureaucracy which sarge’s them now? Don’t make me laugh. Even if the longer they stay the more they understand, by that time they’ll be more likely to support and defend it. That’s just how it works.

The only chance, as I see it, to slow down Leviathan is to put people in charge ignorant enough not to know its true strength.

It’s about the same type of question could a flat-tax, the fair-tax, or 999 plan could pass and would you support it.

We are not there, not anyway - no how. We are barely managing a full-scale assault on the Second Amendment.

It is the equivalent of dreaming about what you’re gonna do when you win that $300 Million Powerball.
