DITTO. 1900 US had about 100 million people, 80 percent were poor (factory laborers or farmer), 20 percent cannot read, only 6 percent grad high school, women and people of color were not equally treated, no gun laws, yet ..... entire number of people murdered in the entire US for that year was only 230. The city of Chicago in 2012 had over 500 murders. I always challenge liberals to figure out what Americans did in 1900 that is different from today to have such a low murder rate.
Demographics (see tagline) and the same Hippie Commies who dropped acid and dodged the draft are now Federal judges, Cabinet members, ACLU attorneys or CEOs.
