Don’t you realize the Chinese are hoping one day a nuclear N Korea will take out a US city. or one of our allies like Japan, and we probably won’t be in a position to retaliate against China for it.

I suspect China would love for the North Korea problem to go away, and strike an alliance with the South in exchange for taking care of the problem.

Won’t happen
The Communist Chinese back North Korea for two reasons:
1. Even though Free Trader Communists will never admit it....China views the USA as Enemy Number One....and NoKo is one way to get the US riled up. And, it keeps US attention away from Commie Chinese planning and build up
2. Communist China fears NoKo opening their borders and letting millions of NoKo’s escape into China, which would leave the ChiComs scrambling. Commie China supports NoKo to keep them from doing a “Mariel Boat Lift” thing on Commie China
