The Navy SEAL who claims he shot and killed Osama bin Laden in the famous raid which captured America's most wanted terrorist has spoken for the first time about the moment he shot the al Qaeda three times in the head and watched him take his last breath. The Team Six member - who is referred to as 'The Shooter' for the safety of his family - described in unforgettable detail the days leading up to the kill, the moment he shot bin Laden three times and the fallout from the raid. Once they were given their mission, the woman at the CIA - made famous by Jessica Chastain's portrayal in Zero Dark Thirty - told the team bin Laden was '100 per cent on the third floor' of his compound in Abbottabad in Pakistan. 'We got him,' she told us. 'This is him. This is my life's work. I'm positive.'

Seems to me, the best way to stay safe and out of trouble is to keep your pihole shut.

Dang, that post button got away from me there....
I hate it when that happens :)
The community once prided itself as being quite professionals. Times sure has changed.
Somebody tell this guy not to take any helicopter rides soon.
We need to ban semi high capacity enter buttons

Dude, I think you got him..................not that i’m complaining.
I have similar issues when using my iPad to post. I either click and don’t see any activity, or the session locks up and restarting Safari tends to re-start the send process.
As far as this article, so much for being humble, eh? What happened to the quiet professionalism SEALS were known for?
Three shots. One for the Pentagon, one for the Towers, one for Flight 93.
It should be noted tho that the SEAL probably had his weapon set to 3 round burst ...
I'm just guessing, but maybe he is a bit disillusioned with our government when his health care coverage stopped immediately. Between that and his marriage falling apart, he may be one unhappy camper. When that happens...quiet professionalism sometimes goes out the window. Note that the author had to build up trust with the SEAL, so this didn't happen automatically. I'm not condoning his talking, just understanding that he may feel so differently because of this experience.
I’m sitting here trying to figure out how you calculate the circumference of a pihole.
Hey watch it, Jack.
It is amazing how many spelling and grammar errors
you can see, between the time you hit the post button and the time it postts.
See? I told ya’.
Something doesn’t sound just right here. Don’t know about Tricare/insurance for retirees but there is a pension. It requires 20 years in the service to qualify for it.
Double tap is now triple tap?
Thought all those guys, en masse, in a helicopter, when they were shot ot of the sky by the Taliban?
And it appears from the article that he voluntarily left after 16 years. It sucks but he knew the rules long before he decided to pull chocks.
I thought deBummer claimed “He Got Bin Laden” seems as if he has mentioned it numerous times (100s of times)
The late Sgt Doaks of Dexter referred to it as a “Mozambique”.
“Double tap is now triple tap?”
Sounds good to me!
He wasn’t trying to make a buck and write a book like some of the other SEALs, but trying to raise awareness of the lack of saftey net for the special ops community.
Some left with just 3 or 4 years until retirement. I guess they just didn’t want to do any more missions, but you’d think that the Navy could find them a nice desk job somewhere for a couples of years.
