Well, for some reason that defies logic, some people on FR and in the public at large are convinced that supporting Republicans moving ever leftward is in fact the way to return to conservatism.
Doesn’t matter how many times the GOP runs a Romney, how ofter a Cantor, McCain or Rubio stand up and proclaim the goodness of amnesty. There are people here who are proud to stand foursquare behind and loudly support liberalism.
It’s easier than admitting they acted like DU rejects and that their conservatism is, shall we say, ‘situational’. And they refuse to make any moral/philosophical decision that may take a cent out of their wallet.
But, like Mitt, they too are severe conservatives.
