Capitalism 01 - Why are some countries rich and others poor?
Capitalism 02 - The early American colonists and communal farming
Capitalism 03 - The industrial revolution and the exploitation of women and children

Sorry about that.
I have not yet confirmed that assertion, but I have a visceral sense that it is true since humans (and American's particularly) are an individualistic breed...we like to go our own way and be responsible for ourselves.
We are more like cats than dogs in that way. We are certainly pack animals in that we like families and groups...but when it comes to bidness...we are individuals first and foremost.;-)
Might written transcripts be available?
Thanks!
.
I also prefer to read, but these videos are tiny and some have very little spoken language.
Capitalism without a Judeo-Christian ethic will not work in the long run. What makes capitalism strong is a core of honesty, truth and uprightness, with a healthy fear of God.

Japan, Korea, and others should call your claim into question.
The rpesumption that ONLY Christianity yields honesty, truth, uprightness and fear of God needs to be proved by you.
Most all faith systems try to do that.
I think the success of individualism (which is the core of capitalism) is a part of that Judeo/Christian ethic (i.e. God has a direct and personal relationship with each of us...and holds us accountable individually).
Thank you!
Excellent stuff.

Here's a worthwhile one that may both scare and inspire you, I think.
Daniel Hannan's new book, The New Road to Serftdom: A Letter of Warning to America, urges Americans not to take such things as federalism, the rule of law and limited government for granted. He believes the United States could find itself lurching toward European-style socialism even more quickly.
He spoke at the Cato Institute September 29, 2010.
