Absolutely - if some folks are hurting, let's bring everyone down to their status instead of bringing the hurting folks up. It's a tried and true conservative principle...oh, wait....
When a company is not having revenues exceed expenses, actions are typically taken to reduce employee costs (I know, as I got retired early - one of many experiences along these lines over the years).
The Federal gov't has expenses that WAY exceed revenue. Appropriate actions need to be taken. Giving everyone a raise is NOT one of those actions. Borrowing money from China is not one either.

My daughter wonders how bad obama is. She’s 30. My son in law couldn’t abide by obama and got out this summer, after 12 years and 5 deployments, sergeant in the army. He was planning on retiring from the army. Not so anymore.
I told her, Carter and Clinton did the same. Democrats hate the military, obama is only worse. They know now. They didn’t vote for bambi.
