And that’s the way it SHOULD be. The residents SHOULD defend.

I’m not certain the locals will shoot him.

He’s becoming something of a cult hero for the left and something of a schadenfreude figure for the right.

I think he’s long-gone from the AO. He’s had almost 5 years to plan this.

I heard a young person this morning say ‘Go Dorner!’ at breakfast while the news was on.

If Dorner were in Chicago, he’d have nothing to worry about. All the law abiding citizens are disarmed and the criminals would be cheering him on.

Sorta like the cops are doing...except they’re doing it to the wrong people.

The good ole LAT! And what a wuss of a "Mayor." Bet he'll be gone next election.

I have relatives in Big Bear who'd have Dorner gutted, skinned and on their wall as a trophy if he so much as got within rifle range of their house.

That's one screwed up sheriff.

Yes, because unlike the police, the citizens may not wait until they know for sure who they are shooting...

I hate saying it but I believe it wholeheartedly.

This Dorner idiot ‘had’ to happen. And perhaps a couple more like him before people wake the hell up. I don’t want to see innocents die. But because of what the left has created, AKA guys like Dorner, the rest of society has a choice. Defend themselves as is their God given right, or die like dogs listening to their ‘betters’.

There is no alternative.

And once people remember what being an American means, we will have turned a significant corner in the fight with leftism.

“Manhunt: Sheriff worries Big Bear residents may dish out own justice”

Really? I’d be more concerned whether or not the cops hose down another two women delivering papers.

>> Sowers, 57, wore a flannel shirt and sat with his wife, Barbara, 60, who was wearing a NASCAR jacket...

... And one couldn’t help but notice the weathered corners of a Bible peering out from underneath George Sowers’ gun vest. Neither partner was too quick to offer an opinion, but calm, confident assurance was provided in the rural twang one might recall from a scene taken from Deliverance.

Is there any question why the sheriff is {{{squeal}}} worried?

If this guy 'disappears' and we never see him again or he isn't found dead or alive, it'll be time to fit tin foil hat firmly in place. The east got Sandy Hook, now the West has this incident.. By the way, hasn't the media coined a term for this yet, like LAPD DAWG or BLACK-OPS (Get it?) or something like that?

I guess California needed it's catalyst to impose their own gun grab and generate a fear of guns like CT did.

Sheriff, I despise a man who equates self-defense with the morally obtuse phrase - taking the law into one’s hands. Yes, I despise your thoughts.

I've listened to the timeline as presented on FOX and Drudge. It seems to me that he's been very angry for awhile. The opus seems to be in two parts. The first part is like a legal brief or explanation of his main grievance. The second part is the rambling diatribe against this or that, giving props to Piers Morgan and Tebow.

From what I gather he knew his discharge date was last Friday so the weeks and month leading up to it were just giving him time to let the hate grow. Then you get the final rambling, scrambled part of the opus.

I'm sure his cell phone is gone and any electronics he has is gone. So if he "planned" this out his credit card and spending habits could provide clues to stores, caches, safe houses, etc. Cause if he thought this out he either needs to hide in plain site, with family help but not with them and in his old hoods. I'm thinking that the black population in LA is going to just possibly help or "not snitch". After all, all civilians have immunity, the police are the prey. So why risk your neck for a police department that abuses you and possibly die if the big guy decides you're going to snitch. Lose-Lose for the civilians.

I think he's going to lay low with maybe a target of opportunity far away from his hide if it presents itself and I'd be very surprised if he ever sees daylight.

So from what I remember he needs shelter, water, food, and then the "extras". I doubt a MANPAD... just stupid psyop bs. Even a .50 is risky if you think about it. Fire that in a city or ANYWHERE and everybody will know where you are. Nah, I'm thinking he'll use the suppressed weapon he has either a rifle or pistol in close. I doubt that we'll see any LAPD stopping at donut shops, fast food shops, traffic lights or stop signs for the foreseeable future.

Now it just depends on how crazy this dude is. He's basically in solitary and after a couple of days of no human contact he's gonna get a little lonely. After 1-2 weeks of hiding he'll make his first move just to test the waters.

What do you all think? Do you think he's prepped or just went bat sh#t crazy and started the blood bath.

The other thing is if this guy is on meds and steroids.

Their own justice????

Being as this is California, they will probably serve him some domestic arugula and a rather imprudent chardonnay

What’s the problem if some local plugs him? Then the cops can quit being so scared.

What's the matter Sheriff? Is THIS the kind of "professional" behaviour you prefer? It's a video of a helicopter cop harrassing a couple of rockhounds on BLM land in San Bernardino County.
