All this is all well and good, but we have a large and growing problem in America which (nobody) is daring to even mention, much less resolve:

American imports.

America imports massive amounts, especially from China. Republicans and Democrats alike. We keep racking up massive trade deficits ever increasing our national debt - currently near 17 trillion dollars.

And NOBODY does a single thing to stop it.

Not Democrats, and certainly not Republicans.

When they start pointing fingers after a crash, how will you point back?

Seriously.

Think about that. How?

A little off topic, but I concur. I try my best to buy USA first, then non-China.

Consumer greed fueled the success of Walmart and others pushing for ever lower prices until literally everything is imported. And from countries that have no child labor laws, unions, or environmental restrictions. So we buy Chinese product that is produced by slave labor in factories that dump gozillions of tons of crap in the air and water and on the ground. Same selfish mentality that has pushed us to a nation with a majority that votes for a living.

Outside of a MAJOR war, the solution is elusive. Hope I’m wrong.
