Sad to say, but this session is an all too typical "We went out and explained the law to XXX gunowners, yaddayaddayadda.

I have seen public comment sessions which were similar, only drawing "legitimacy" for a rubber-stamped done deal from the ability to say "XXX people showed up and commented on the proposed whatever" and then going ahead and screwing the public.

In a different age, the guy who couldn't seem to give a single straight answer to a question would have been sent home with a coat of tar and feathers.
