Do you have $60-80,000 to pay for an electric car?

Are you kidding?

Ya seen the price of a new Porsche, a new Corvette..a Humvee etc, etc? And they take gasoline at 4+ dollars per gallon..

And in a 1/4 mile, the Tesla eats them alive.

20 yrs from now the Porsche and Vette will be worth a lot of money.

And the used Tesla will languish for lack of anyone who can afford a new battery pack.

I can get an Alfa Romeo derived car that gets good mpg for less than $20,000.

Yeah, the S is a great car ... no doubt. The issue that Vet and I have is with the lack of an AFFORDABLE alternative other than the ugly as heck Leaf and it's ilk on the roadways. A car doesn't have to look stupid in order to be electric. Tesla proved that ... now all I'm asking for is for others to follow their lead. Make something stylish (doesn't have to perform as wonderfully as the S) that is electric, can go a long distance, is comfortable, and doesn't look stupid.
