Get rid of the Constitution? Get real.
Fox & Friends ^

I cannot believe there are people out there who think we should get rid of the Constitution. The crazy part is, they want to get rid of the document but keep all of the provisions! Professor Seidman really struggles to defend his points in this video, at least David Rivkin was there to be the voice reason.

Ever heard of the movie “The Nutty Professor”? Guess who the star was.(sarc) IF we are dumb enough to listen to these people, we get what we deserve.

Our elected officials swear an oath to protect and preserve the Constitution. Any who say we should do away with the Constitution are foresworn and traitors to their oath. If ANY provision of the Constitution is abrogated, then the union is dissolved.

THAT will bring CW2. Deo vindice

Dumb. Dangerous. Trying to Europeanize the United States. It is worth noting that the British have an unwritten constitution. Look where that’s gotten them.

This gentleman is not an elected official and has every right to promote the alteration or abrogation of the Constitution. 1st Amendment and all that.

I, OTOH, have the freedom of speech to proclaim that he is an idiot.

Nonsense. We've abrogated or changed the Constitution 27x by the procedure it prescribes, which is just fine.

Unfortunately we have also abrogated provisions by judicial fiat and/or by just ignoring sections we don't like. Which isn't fine.

Here is a thought, if the blue states get rid of the constitution does that mean they are seceeding?

The red states can keep the constitution and form the new American Republic, the rest can wallow in their socialism...

Better believe what they say. Not believing it, lets them win without a fight.

Liberals underestimate the respected legitimacy of the Constitution and the Rule of Law it establishes.

We are already on an aggressive slide where the Rule of Law is not being respected. Governors are refusing to enforce federal laws, rules, regs, whatever you want to call them if they believe them to be unconstitutional. They have lost faith in the courts to protect them. The people would refuse to follow laws that they don’t believe in. A government that does not respect the law is doomed.

Let’s say that he gets his wish and does away with the Constitution. OK, now any group that wants to come into his home, take it, enslave him and his family can do it because he no longer has any Constitutional protections. Someone could say he offended them and they could take any punitive actions they see fit. If local authorities take a dislike to him they can jail him indefinitely without charges. This would also mean that those of us who want to own ANY firearm or weapon can now accumulate as many as we like and use them as we like. Take away the Constitution and all bets and restraints are off dimwit.

No fun being a socialist if you allow those that don’t want socialism to escape your control.

Liberals would have outlawed free speech, guns and self defense by now. States would be administrators for a centralized Federal government. Our lives would be hell to any red blooded American.

And the interview was pitiful; an effort to make a domestic enemy of freedom into a sane guy. Po wittle treasonous professor getting letters telling him to f off and death threats. Libs always pull the ‘death threat’ card.

He’s not saying anything globalists don’t say all the time.

They need to get rid of the constitution if they are to ‘PROGRESS” with their global integration and rule ideals. That is why Obama classified constitution supporters as domestic terrorists. Our constitutional rights and knowledge of divided power and individual freedom, messes up so much. They have more in mind, communist China or the Soviet Union.

That is why there was so many globalist moneyed men screeching about the rise of the Tea Party. They thought they had it in the bag. I have no doubt they will kill us if they have to. They do not want to wait for the boomers to pass away.

I just realized the flaw in this.

Eliminating the Constitution doesn't leave Obama as king, or the federal government boundless.

It dissolves the federal government in toto and reverts us back to 50 separate states, each governed independently.

The states predate the federal government, and would still remain via the Declaration of Independence.
