My family raised chickens when I was growing up, we had chicken very frequently, so much so that by age 10, I decided that was enough of that. My parents were alright with that but made no special effort to provide me with a different meat.
That’s about when I learned to appreciate vegetables, plenty of which, we always had. To this day, chicken is the only food, meat or veggie, that I will not eat.
I don’t recall ever having Ovaltine, though I may have as a kid and have just forgotten about it.
The tag line occurred to me after watching that Christmas show for the umpteenth time, where the kid wanted a b.b. gun for Christmas. It’s difficult to read because F.R.’s format won’t allow for double spacing between words.
