NEW ORLEANS -- San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver created quite the ruckus this week when he intimated that anyone with a homosexual predilection would not be welcome on his team. Now, he's doing everything he can to get past that.
According to his publicist, Theodore Palmer, Culliver will be working with "The Trevor Project," an organization that provides crisis and suicide intervention to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth.
"He's so passionate about youth and people being comfortable with who they are and accepted by all," Palmer said in a phone interview with the Associated Press on Saturday. "He's excited to learn. The plan is with The Trevor Project, and their concerns are that he is genuine about his words."
Their concerns should be exactly that. Tuesday, on the "Artie Lange Show," Culliver had this to say when Lange asked him how he felt about the possibility of a gay teammate.
''I don't do the gay guys, man. I don't do that. got no gay people on the team. They gotta get up outta here if they do. Can't be with that sweet stuff ... Can't be ... in the locker room, nah,'' he said. ''You've gotta come out 10 years later after that.''
On Thursday, Culliver sat at a table in the 49ers' media room at a Marriott in downtown New Orleans and tried to explain the furor away. He released a perfunctory statement before he met with the media, and his actual comments on Wednesday fell short of the mark on the conviction scale.

I think this is kind of funny. I am 99% sure the Mr. Culliver supported Obama, so his forced mea culpa is just Kharma.
In the current political environment, straight people in the public eye should just refuse to answer any questions about their position on gays. No matter what they say, its just a trap, and they can’t win, unless their eyes glaze over and they repeat the party mantra on the subject. Better to just say, “no comment, let’s move on to something relevant”.

Unfortunately for the militant faggot lobby, aversion to sexual perversion (hey, that rhymes!) is natural... instinctive. Even little kids understand that homosexuality is a sickness. They understand it naturally... instinctively. Go to any schoolyard and you can still hear the derogatory phrase, "That's so gay," thrown around by perfectly normal little kids. All the liberal Democrat propaganda in the world can't change Mother Nature.
You know, I respected him for taking a stand - agree with him or not. Now that he’s reversing his position and going all PC - no respect. Go Ravens.
Off to the re-education camps - any old apparatchiks from the Soviet era can only marvel at the efficiency with which the NFL punishes those who commit thought crimes. Culliver should spend the offseason working on his mediocre coverage (he and Tarrell Brown at CB are the only real weak points of the 49ers defense), not being educated on what he’s allowed to think.
Free Speech is only allowed to the commies. Everyone else will be dictated what they can and can’t say.
Pray for America
how less than 3% of the populace has such sway says a lot about the moral fiber of this nations leaders, both politically and religious-wise.

Someone on this site gave me grief because I asked if they wanted the homosexual lobby to hold power over their life. They dismissed me as paranoid. You ain’t paranoid if they’re really out to get you.
I have a couple of reactions to the ‘controversy’. First of all, I have no problem with what consenting adults do in their homes, but we are bombarded each day of the media-week with the opinions of people who promote this lifestyle in an EVANGELICAL manner.
Yes, for many, their sexuality has become their religion or rason d’etre. It’s a choice or combination of new religions, one being SEXUALITY (usually anything kind of twist other than hetro-monogamy) some have even begun calling themselves PAN-SEXUALS, flags yet to be designed.
a second choice for some would be ABORTION RIGHTS.
The triad of new religions must include Mr.ALGore’s favorite, Anthropogenic GLOBAL WARMING.
My only other concern with this kerfluffle, is with the football player himself, unrelated to the story, his manner of speech was sundry, pedestrian and undistilled GHETTO. For this alone, he needs a bit more edumucation. Watch your diction, hommie! You are embarrassing other black folks with your leaded toungue.
Well....allow me to spew my opinion...
You see, If someone has morals, then it can be said that they do indeed possess a mortal soul...And they tend to behave in such a way that does not put that soul at risk...They are said to be people of sound moral behavior..
Then on the other hand you have folks who do not believe they possess any soul at all...these are the people you find buggering each other in the hallways and closets of our shops and industries throughout our great land...
Now in order to maintain some semblance of humanity, our major industries gather up these beings and send them off to ethics classes...
Ergo..What is true morality is the rules of life that come down from God to help us try and save our immortal souls...But ethics, on the other hand are rules made by man, for man, in order to keep them from acting like animals...As with all man made rules, sometimes it works, usually it don't....
Well.....that's what I think anyway...Sorry for being so long winded....
Amen to that. It’s a deadening of conscience that cuts across far more areas than homosexuality alone. And if you go to a government school or a secular college these days, you are made to run that gauntlet in one way or another.
