“...the establishment is taking steps to fight back against Tea Party groups and other conservative organizations...”

This should read: Socialist/Progressive “establishment” soliciting funds from anti-Conservatives to destroy America.

The group, the Conservative RINO Victory Project...

Fixed.

Do these idiots understand that they are poking a stick into a hornet's nest?

So let me get this straight - the same folks who destroyed the GOP brand during the Bush era, and who pushed the one candidate Obama could beat in 2012, have issues with the Tea Party, which put the GOP back in power in the House, over a couple of marginal candidates.

Rove is a very slow learner...or he just wants to continue collecting big bucks from donors who don’t know what’s going on.

The Democrat-Lite wing of the GOP may kill off the TEA Party primary candidates, but they will definitely not win in the general election because the TEA Party members will stay home. So the Democrat Socialists will retain the Senate and help themselves to the bank accounts of the super rich through punitive tax policy. The only winners are the Socialists and Karl Rove.

I’m really getting tired of this fat pig Rove. He and his gang are the guys who destroyed the republican party, and he wants to blame everyone but himself.

They don’t like how Cruz from Texas beat their establishment boy Dewhurst, backed by the Bush family.

Cruz, a TEA backed senator, has been better than any of them so far. And what did the GOP give us? ,,,Murkowski.

Target: RINOs.

Sure, why not? They’ve been so successful in the past in picking unprincipled, limp-wristed, “go along to get along”, communist-lite, losers and wimps... this sounds like another winning strategy of the dumba$$ “party”.

“There is a broad concern about having blown a significant number of races because the wrong candidates were selected,”

Like a one term governor from Mass.?

Target #2 “Big John” Corn-in. His ego is so big it makes an easy target.

It's not a matter of "the wrong candidates."

It's a matter of teaching Tea Party candidates the right responses.

For example, teach them never to legitimatize rape.

Teach them to avoid all questions about the earth being 6,000 years old.

Just a little teaching, that's all.

Governor Terry Branstad .... Does anyone know his conservative credentials, etc. He’s been elected to the state house 3 times, Lt. Gov and Gov. from 1983 - 1999 and again elected Gov. in 2010. Apparently he’s electable statewide.

Iowa seems to me to be a split state with a Democrat and Republican Senator, 4 US Representatives split 2 each, Obama won in 2012, State Senate 26-24 Democrat, State House 53-47 Republican.

Statewide appeal is going to be a major determinant in who wins he Senate seat, imo.

More agitprop from the New York Times. Take with large grains of salt. American Crossroads is run by the same kind of professional political consultants who distanced themselves from the Tea Party and who thought that Mitt Romney would be a great Presidential candidate.

This all proves that the establishment GOP and the Democrats are one in the same. They think alike and are both bought and paid for by big money donors. The Tea Party is the only thing keeping the GOP relevant and intact as a political entity and the bluebloods know it but still they refuse to admit to the truth and are in the process of destroying themselves. I have never liked the idea of a third party and always believed in changing the Republican Party from within, but the establishment is determined to wipe conservatives out so maybe it’s time to say the hell with them and leave thus ensuring the GOP to go out the way of the Whigs and other defunct political parties.

Karl Rove can have the GOP. It is going to lose, maybe it is supposed to lose. I would like to be part of a group that wants revolutionary change, i.e., a return to Constitutional principles. We can ally with Republicans on occasion, but we need our own structure, or we will be treated like Rove is doing here.

Sounds like the GOPe is interested in bondage.

I have a question for these people: Why do you want to win?

If you get what you want, and if your candidates achieve 51 or 52 seats in the Senate, what will be different?
