I’ll bet he was using popper loads, like for dog training. They put out a great puff of smoke. If your trying to make a gun look intimidating to the low information populous, why not make a lot of smoke?

If a kid takes this picture of Obama to school, will he or she be suspended for having a picture of a gun???

You're right about the AKC poppers - they are very smoky (and they dirty up your shotgun something fierce). Also very very loud.

I mostly run HRC and they use primer loads instead of poppers - quieter, less smoke too.

Wouldn't be surprised if this was a popper load. I just don't see a typical 12 or 20 ga. skeet load putting out that much smoke.

Not to mention that the right side of the compensator has a huge jet of smoke, while the left side has none at all. Very odd -- but perhaps the wad on the popper was transiting at the time?
