The GOP had their chance from 02-06 when they controlled all levers of power in Washington. They went on a spending binge and showed their true colors. Till they condemn those years why should anyone trust them?
Bingo. I remember waiting for a balanced budget and remove of the Department of Education and a serious trimming of the government. Instead, we got more entitlements, a new bureaucracy, deficit spending, a perpetuation of the housing bubble (yes, they knew)...more goernment. I distinctly recall saying to myself, I don't have a party. And, some of those idiots were scratching their heads and wondering why they lost big in 2006. And Denny Hastert can go to he&& for all I care.
