In an interview in December, however, Jones characterized the complaints as a reaction to his decision to shift priorities away from street-level crimes to more complex crimes involving drug cartels and to time-consuming white-collar crimes and terrorism cases.

I'm guessing - but the really big drug busts of cartels happens when one gang is snitching on another... for advantage. And terrorism? Not a lot of radical Muslims in Minnesota... Was the real job going after conservatives - and branding them 'members of the vast right wing conspiracy'? If so, that's political and it's bad... Yes, there are questions that need to be asked..

I'd wager that that just doesn't happen anyway until the 'new deal' is cut and the turf is reallocated.

Why is that a good bet?

Because after over 50 years of KNOWING we have an illegal immigrant problem, and over half that time fighting a 'drug war', the borders are ever porous. People in high places or pulling strings behind thrones are making a killing off the trade.

And terrorism? Not a lot of radical Muslims in Minnesota...

Plenty of imported Somalis in the Twin Cities, and they're not blending in. How many does it take to create mayhem? (That's the asymmetric advantage of terrorism--a couple dozen individuals have changed America for the worst, creating new agencies, arming others, and laying the groundwork for the developing police state right here at home.)
