Cruz speaks. We’re going to need people who are good at what dems are good at- communicating their points. Dems communicate emotional reactionism (their points).

GPOe s can’t communicate their points because their points are shallow, not in keeping with the Constitution, power hungry, wimpy, defensive and self- loathing, and a lot of ulterior motives (the dems do that but they’re good at it because they have no shame).

Cruz keeps it simple. He has one task - communicate the point - forget about any other goal or motive, and it has to do with defending the constitution - his main task as senator (like all elected officials and military mimbers).

From Wikip. on Cruz:

While at Princeton, he competed for the American Whig-Cliosophic Society’s Debate Panel as one of North America’s top-ranked parliamentary debaters, winning the top speaker award at both the 1992 U.S. National Debating Championship and the 1992 North American Debating Championship.[13] In 1992, he was named Speaker of the Year and Team of the Year (with his debate partner, David Panton) by the American Parliamentary Debate Association.[13] In 1991 he and his partner came in second to Austan Goolsbee and partner David Gray. Cruz was also a semi-finalist at the 1995 World Universities Debating Championship.

Obama will run Hagel like a puppet-master.

If things go good, Obama will take the credit.

If things go south, the Republican Hegel, the GOP and George W. Bush will take the gaff.

I think you think you are a little more important than you really are.

Obviously, you think you are more important than you really are too!

You just keep kissing Mrs. Palin's butt every chance you get. I will keep working to get more conservatives elected at the local and state level and maybe between us we can get the job done.

And if you are a Texan, then proudly display the flag.

I call BS myself. I was on the Texas TP conference call when Palin pulled herself into it. Without her help, all of our efforts couldn’t have pulled it off against the Dewhurst machine. I certainly give Free Republic and everybody else the credit due, but without all pulling together we couldn’t have single-handedly pulled it off. What’s the big deal of trying to pull down one of our staunchest supporters through that whole march to a win. What good does it do to try to diminish Palin’s role in it.

Oh, he’s going to get a lot of wrath. He’s up to the task, most likely, but:

Prayers please.

By the way, do you have any idea how much money she brought to Cruz with her endorsement as well as throwing in some of her own?

Helms is a high bar, indeed. Probably the best Senator in the past 50 years.

Especially not by Ted Cruz, who credits her endorsement with helping him beat Texas Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst in the race for the Texas GOP Senate nomination.

While speaking with POLITICO’s Mike Allen this morning, the Texas Republican Senate nominee called Palin’s endorsement “game-changing.”

“If you look at the senate races across the country this cycle and last cycle, Governor Palin has had a game changing impact one after the other,” explained Cruz.

Palin endorsed Cruz, a Tea Party favorite who shares her philosophy of liberty and limited government, just days before a wide-open May 29 primary, helping to propel Cruz into a strong second place showing. The Cruz surge provided momentum for his runoff battle with Dewhurst.

“Fighters like Ted Cruz can lead the charge for us,” former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin said in July when she came to Texas to campaign with Cruz, calling him a “a proven, common-sense constitutional conservative.”

The Tea Party favorite admitted that many have referred to his victory as “improbable.” He told Allen that the reason why Palin’s endorsement has had such an enormous impact is because voters consider her a true barometer of conservatism.

“In a Republican primary, everyone claims to be conservative and voters are pretty cynical. They are tired of these candidates that sounds great on the stump. They say they are going to cut spending, they get into the office and they become spineless jellyfish,” Cruz said. “I think conservatives trust Sarah Palin that if she says this guy is a conservative, that he is a real deal.”

Cornyn is probably trying to stay relevant now that the Lone Star state has a new star on their hands.

It’s pretty obvious that Owebama pulled Hagel in because of his attitude toward Israel. Also because Hagel won’t blink and eye if/when Owebama gives him stand down orders when the arabic states attack Israel.

Thank you. I wasn't trying to start a fuss over an obvious home run with Cruz. I was just making the point of Palin's power in the conservative movement. Many here seem to have Palin derangement syndrome. I can only think of a half dozen people that may have as much power in the conservative movement as Palin. Putting a Cruz yard sign up doesn't hurt, but I'm sure Palin made a bigger impact on his win.

And I don't like putting stuff in my home page. I don't even have a Facebook page for the same reason. I don't want everyone in the world knowing everything about me. Frankly, It's none of their business. I haven't even been out of Texas more than a couple dozen times in my life. I have the flag in front of my house. I don't need it on FR.

This is like the debate whether the infantry is more important than the air force. They both have a critical role. Cruz was not within striking distance until Sarah gave him the air cover he needed. And if I recall, he was more than willing to give her credit for conspicuous aid right when he needed it. Why begrudge her the credit she is due? And I’m sure if you ask her, she’d be just as happy to credit the ground troops for their indispensable contribution. Like Red Green says, we’re all in this together.

Hagel is a “RARE” Republican. He has always been a “Reach Around Republican Establishment” type, you know the kind, the ones that think that the highest goal of politics is to reach an agreement, to come together, regardless of terms or consequences.
