The bill is dead. Leahy even said so yesterday.
The real threat at this point is at the state level for people like me.
State-level legislation is the front lines of this fight, no question. We are all watching New York and how that goes.
The Federal level is not to be ignored, however, as the gun grabbers will try everything to get weak-kneed Republicans "compromise".
Our stand should be firm: No New Gun Laws!

I think the NY (no bullets for you) law will be repealed. It serves no purpose.
The same tactic was used with the Obamacare legislation.

why is an astronaught who has no real claim to knowledge on this issue other than being married to a LONG TIME anti-second amendment wife who started and anti-second amendment lobbyist group to triangulate the NRA speaking at this?
they only have a few hundred members. vs the nra 4.5 million.
There are real State level threats.
There is also the real threat of “universal background checks” which is code for “universal firearm registration” which is functionally equivalent to confiscation over time.
