Just damn.
The 'Rum and Coca Cola' was a classic for me and the girlfriend from the islands. Memories.
I'll never sit under an apple tree again.

An era before autotune will forever be missed.

Roy Rogers: I was attacked by a bobcat and it ruined my boots so I killed it.
Dale Evens: Pardon me Roy is that the cat that chewed your boots in two?

They were a little before my time but they really could harmonize.
“Boogy Woogy Bugle Boy” was a true classic.

The early Las Vegas mob guys (from the NY area) took delight in telling stories about tapping the Andrew sisters.
Not what you want to hear ... but part of Las Vegas lore.

My girl was from Tobago (the smaller island). But sitting in the hot sun to cool off is about right. ;)
Nothing like a trip down memory lane.
God bless the Andrews sisters.

One of my all time favorites:
"Chattanooga Choo-Choo", though I doubt one could sing it that way today ("pardon me, boy")
The sisters surely could harmomize. Thanks to all who posted some of their music.

We've lost almost all the good ones and they aren't being replaced.

I didn’t know she was still alive! She was immensely talented, had a tremendous voice. Every Christmas I haul out a whole bunch of Andrews Sisters Christmas songs, one of my faves was “Christmas Island” with Bing.
Here is another Christmas fave. Patty sings apart here, you can hear the quality of her voice.

You can also hear them sing in the movies “A Christmas Story” (Jingle Bells).
How glad I am they made all that good music.
