The “new normal”; it is an adjustment, but it is paying off. The only people I know living in the original “normal” are municipal employees (cops, teachers, firemen) - the ones that survived the budget cuts we’ve had here in NJ over the last few years. I know people who still have decent jobs, but they’re looking at the horizon with trepidation; forces are very actively at work to replace them with work overseas or imported Asians.
