Obama and his socialist-fascist regime now wants to take our guns. Like hell you say. America answers by buying guns in record numbers. Americans will never allow themselves to be disarmed. The founding fathers intended American citizens to be armed to defend themselves from just such runaway tyrannical government.
America's response to Obama's attempted gun grab: FUBO!! You want my gun? Come and take it!!
Never surrender!! Never retreat!! Never give up your guns!!
Free Republic stands for God and country!! We defend Life, Family, Constitution, Liberty!! And we defend our God-given, constitutionally guaranteed right to keep and bear arms!! TO THE HILT!!
FR is funded solely by contributions made by liberty loving people who enjoy and use it.
We are beholden to no political party. No outsiders, no sugar daddies, no advertisers, no corporate string pullers.
We are self-funded, fiercely independent and enjoy our freedom to speak plainly in the defense of liberty.
But we cannot do it without your support.
If you have not yet made your donation this quarter, today would be an excellent day to do so.
Every donation counts no matter how big or small. If you can donate $5, $10, $20 or more, it would be greatly appreciated.
Your loyal support makes Free Republic possible and your continuing participation makes FR the number one, independent, pro-life, pro-family, pro-small government, pro-defense, pro-gun, grassroots conservative forum on the Net!!
And we're going to need FR now more than ever to combat the current crop of Marxists, fascists and progressives who have infested our government and public institutions and who are dead set on destroying the final remnants of our cherished constitution and our precious God-given liberty!!

I_be_tc's $100 challenge:
FReeper I_be_tc donated $100.00 a few days ago and challenged 300 others to match. Thirty-six FReepers have met the challenge so far. If 300 FReepers follow through, this FReepathon will end quickly!! Woo hoo!!
Thank you all very much!!
Your loyal support is greatly appreciated!!
God bless you and God bless America!!

Just donated but found the form just a bit confusing. Why you say?
It’s that “Non-US” button - after I wrestled with it for awhile I got the idea. If I’m not in the US I mash on “Non-US” and it allows me to specify my country. At which point it says “US” (which allows me to go back). I get that.
It’s just that if I’m from the US when I’ve done it’s going to say “Non-US” and if I’m not from the US it’s going to say “US”. Which I found confusing.
Maybe it’s just me though.

Not to be too nosy, but your flag says North Carolina, so presumably, you’re out of the country at this time?

Furious at the December 1773 Boston Tea Party, Parliament in 1774 passed the Coercive Acts. The particular provisions of the Coercive Acts were offensive to Americans, but it was the possibility that the British might deploy the army to enforce them that primed many colonists for armed resistance. The Patriots of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, resolved: That in the event of Great Britain attempting to force unjust laws upon us by the strength of arms, our cause we leave to heaven and our rifles. A South Carolina newspaper essay, reprinted in Virginia, urged that any law that had to be enforced by the military was necessarily illegitimate.
The Royal Governor of Massachusetts, General Thomas Gage, had forbidden town meetings from taking place more than once a year. When he dispatched the Redcoats to break up an illegal town meeting in Salem, 3000 armed Americans appeared in response, and the British retreated. Gages aide John Andrews explained that everyone in the area aged 16 years or older owned a gun and plenty of gunpowder.
Military rule would be difficult to impose on an armed populace. Gage had only 2,000 troops in Boston. There were thousands of armed men in Boston alone, and more in the surrounding area. One response to the problem was to deprive the Americans of gunpowder.

No - in the good old US.
What I’m saying is this:
1. If I fill out the form correctly and I’m *in* the US then when I’m done the field/button is going to say “Non-US”.
2. If I fill out the form correctly and I’m *not* in the US then when I’m done the field/button is going to say “US”.
Sure it’s a toggle but I think you can see from above it’s a bit of a confusing one. Not an insurmountable problem but more a minor issue.

That’s interesting. I’ve not encountered that, but my forms are filled-in automatically. I’m sure Jim will have a look. Thanks for better explaining it to me.
