Law-Abiders Under the Bus : Standing in line to be a legal immigrant? You’re a chump!
National Review ^ | 01/30/2013 | Michelle Malkin

Posted on 01/30/2013 7:39:35 AM PST by SeekAndFind

President Obama and the bipartisan Gang of Eight in Washington who want to create a “pathway to citizenship” for millions of illegal aliens have sent a message loud and clear to those who follow the rules: You’re chumps!

Have you patiently waited for months and years for the State Department and Department of Homeland Security to slog through your application? You’re chumps!

Have you paid thousands of dollars in travel, legal, and medical fees to abide by the thicket of entry, employment, health, and processing regulations? You’re chumps!

Have you studied for your naturalization test, taken the oath of allegiance to heart, embraced our time-tested principle of the rule of law, and demonstrated that you will be a financially independent, productive citizen? You’re chumps!

Unrepentant amnesty peddlers on both sides of the aisle admit their plan is all about votes and power. Arizona Republican senator John McCain continues his futile chase for the Hispanic bloc. Illinois Democratic representative Luis Gutierrez is openly salivating at the prospect of millions of new illegal aliens — future Democratic-party dependents of the Nanny State — who could be eligible for Obamacare and a plethora of other government benefits despite clear prohibitions against their participation.

These cynical pols insist that the rest of law-abiding Americans and law-abiding permanent residents must support Washington’s push to “do something” because “11 million people are living in the shadows.”

To which I say: So? There are 23 million Americans out of work. Why aren’t they Washington’s top priority anymore? Didn’t both parties once pledge that j-o-b-s for unemployed and underemployed Americans was Job No. 1? Why is the very first major legislative push of 2013 another mass amnesty/voter drive/entitlement expansion?

If Washington is really concerned about people “living in the shadows,” how about prioritizing the jaw-dropping backlog of 500,000-plus fugitive-deportee cases? These are more than a half-million illegal aliens who have been apprehended, who had their day in immigration court, who have been ordered to leave the country, and who were then released and absconded into the ether. Poof!

After the 9/11 terrorist attacks, pols pretended to get serious about fixing the broken deportation system and enacted absconder-apprehension initiatives to track down these national-security risks. But over the past dozen years, only 100,000 out of 600,000-plus fugitive illegal aliens targeted by the program have been found. Why isn’t the search for and removal of these repeat offenders more important than giving “11 million people living in the shadows” a “pathway to citizenship”?

Question: If border security and immigration enforcement are truly a priority to our elected officials, why must these two basic government responsibilities be tethered to benefits for line-jumping illegal aliens? See whether any politician can answer without sputtering about “11 million people living in the shadows” or invoking the over-worn race card.

(By the way, we all know that moldy “11 million” statistic can’t be right. Open-borders groups have cited it for nearly 15 years as amnesty measure after amnesty measure attracted new generations of illegal aliens to the country.)

You know who else deserves more attention and compassion than “11 million people living in the shadows”? The 4.6 million individuals around the world who legally applied for sponsored green cards and followed the established legal-immigration process. They’ve been shunted aside while the Obama administration ushers illegal-alien “DREAM”-waiver winners to the front of the line.

As Jessica Vaughan of the Center for Immigration Studies points out: “It is clear that there is no way the roughly one million or more potential Dreamers can be accommodated by [the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service] without noticeably slowing down the processing of legal immigrants [emphasis added]. The agency already processes six million applications a year without the amnesty add-ons.”

There have been nearly a dozen major amnesty laws, affecting at least 5 million illegal aliens, passed since the Reagan 1986 amnesty. These beneficiaries and their families have crowded out legal immigrants and increased their application waiting times in untold ways. GOP representative Lamar Smith of Texas asked the Obama administration last summer to disclose data on how much the DREAM-waiver amnesty alone has affected adjudication/processing times for everyone else. The White House has failed to answer the question.

Want a reality check? Not one of the past federal amnesties was associated with a decline in illegal immigration. Instead, the number of illegal aliens in the U.S. has tripled since 1986. The total effect of the amnesties was even larger because relatives later joined amnesty recipients, and this number was multiplied by an unknown number of children born to amnesty recipients who then acquired automatic U.S. citizenship.

Hopelessly naïve (or stubbornly self-deluded) freshman GOP senator Marco Rubio of Florida insists that any new recipients of the Gang of Eight’s Grand Pander scheme will have to “go to the back of the line and wait behind everybody who applied before them, the right way.” Rubio emphasizes to conservative talk-show hosts that there will be background checks and rigorous vetting.

But as I’ve reported for the past two decades, the background-check process has been corrupted under both Democratic and Republican administrations. In the 1990s, the Clinton administration turned immigration policy into a massive Democratic voter-recruitment machine through the Citizenship USA program. Naturalization officers simply abandoned background checks wholesale. In 2003, an INS center in Laguna Niguel solved the massive backlog problem by putting tens of thousands of applications through a shredder. And in 2006, I exposed how some high-immigrant regions rewarded adjudication officers with bonuses for rubber-stamping as many applications as possible without regard to security.

You want “comprehensive immigration reform”? Start with reliable adjudications, fully cleared backlogs, consistent interior enforcement, working background checks for the existing caseload, and efficient and effective deportation policies that punish law-breakers and do right by law-abiders.

And please don’t pretend that piling millions of new illegal aliens onto an already overwhelmed system is going to fix a darned thing. Chumps.

And the usual suspects pushing this latest amnesty scheme continue to say the illegal aliens must “go to the back of the line”. Of course, they neglect to say that the real lines for immigration to the US are outside the counry, in all the nations from which legal applicants wish to immigrate.

The illegals are already here. The legal applicants are still in their home nations, so all this nonsensical talk of going to the “back of the line” is just more lies and double talk from the amnesty pushers (who lie some more saying their schemes aren’t amnesty).

I am against rewarding bad or illegal behavior, whether it be a child or illegal alien. Show people that rules don’t apply, and society loses structure. When Reagan proposed amnesty, it was to be a one time event. Since then we have some 11 million plus illegals in this country. As a result of being illegal, they formed a subculture, didn’t speak English (and often didn’t even try to learn), were rife with gangs, and in general failed to be assimilated into the American culture. Now we are being asked to reward this behavior, not to mention assume the financial responsibility for these people who have not funded our “entitlement” system. I say no, it is time to draw a line in the sand and stand for enforcing our laws, not degrading them further.

If the GOP could market worth a crap they would be hiotting the Dims over the head repeatedly with this question...

“Why are the Dim-o-crats punishing legal immigrants?”

Or Shortended to: “The Dim-o-crats are punishing immigrants!”

We need to take back the language to win the war.

We should be hitting the Dims over the head with this talking point...

“We will discuss Present day amnesty as soon as the Reagan Amnesty you liberals love to point out so much is FULLY EXECUTED AS WRITTEN!”

So basically until the provisions in the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 are fully enforced we should stand our ground and keep beating the lieberals over the head with it until the damn border is secured via that act they love to point out so much.

I am against rewarding bad or illegal behavior,

LOL - That is all our government does.

Don't pay your mortgage? The government will bail you out. Don't save for retirement? The government will bail you out. Don't look for work? The government will bail you out.

This amnesty bill rewards non-law abiding Mexicans and is a poke in the eye to anybody who has worked hard to move here legally.

I have never been so disgusted by politicians, ever. The R's are as bad as the D's. To hell with all of them.

Those with self-respect, dignity, a work-ethic, honesty, common sense, and initiative are outcasts from today's Obamanation....

Live on Welfare, use your Obamaphones to call your drug dealer, cheat on your tax claims to get more "EITC", etc., and generally just live your own way on someone else's back....

THAT is what Amerika has become, and now, those who broke into this country to get handouts, drivers' licenses, tax handouts, free education and medical care, free Spanish signage on EVERYTHING published, etc., are getting rewarded so they can LEGALLY vote (D) to keep the handouts flowing.

Those who play by the rules, are proud to stand on their own merits, etc., are getting shit upon, once again.

“Hopelessly naïve (or stubbornly self-deluded) freshman GOP senator Marco Rubio of Florida”

How about ‘wilfully complicit’?

Rubio knows exactly what he’s doing. He thinks that if he can force amnesty down the throats of Republicans that it will give him the big edge in the 2016 primaries and being the first Hispanic Presidential candidate will give him the same demographic advantage that Obama had in 2008. Rubio is willing to throw America under the bus on the basis of a cold mathematical analysis that amnesty will boost his personal political ambitions. The problem with Rubio’s analysis is that there is very little evidence to suggest that Mexican and Central American illegals who get added to the voting rolls are going to give him, a well to do Cuban-American, any credit for letting them stay in the U.S.. He will be demagogued by the Dems in the border states as not a genuine Latino (the Uncle Marco version of Uncle Tom). And if his grand gamble doesn’t work he will have helped create a permanent Democratic voting majority.

PS. If Rubio was sincerely interested in reaching out to conservatives and trying to persuade them that immigration reform is truly a conservative idea, he could start by (a) not posing for photos with Democrat sleaze-bag Chuck Schumer and RINO McCain and (b) actually voting like a conservative on something as simple as opposing Commie-sympathizer John Kerry for Secretary of State. If you’re going to spend political capital you have to build it up first and Rubio’s not going to do that by being a trained-seal GOP-establishment vote.

The wait time to get a sibling into the US legally is about eight years.

Actually, the sibling applications filed in April 2001 are the ones now coming up for visa numbers. That is unless you are from the Philippines, in which case the June 1989 applications are they ones coming up for available visa numbers. Once the number is current you can then file for the final step which means another 6 months or more wait.

Nice take, Boomer. Vote-crazed US pols are marching in lockstep with Mexico.

Mexico is pushing north at a furious pace---throwing its "pressure groups" over the border---salivating for reconquista---to takeover the SW--- financing and coaching their fifth column invasion of US borders.

The wailing and whining invaders' propaganda-----"just here for a better life, to do jobs Americanos won't do"---really "gets" bleeding heart sap-happy liberals and vote-crazed US politicians.

The latino criminal underworld on US soil has more criminal enterprises than you can shake a stick at.

<><>ICE's "documents and benefits fraud taskforce" found a common practice among "impoverished" illegals is to buy several faked identities for several thousand dollars each----the illegal then votes and rides the US gravy train under several names.

<><> Jose Madrigal---the Washington staterapist---had some 30 identities. And probably voted and collected US benefits under every single identity.

<><>June 26, 2010 An illegal using multiple identities was sentenced to prison and ordered to pay back $3 million in fraudulently obtained unemploymet compensation. Manuel Mejia Ordonez, got eight years for conspiracy to commit mail fraud........and identity theft.

<><> Hilderberto Salinas sold state drivers' licenses issued out of the state’s Motor Vehicle Agency in NJ to illegals with multiple identities who did not have the necessary id's....among 40 people who participated in the widespread ring. "Impoverished" illegals paid $2,500 to $7,000 apiece for the licenses---which allows them to vote.

The US State Dept once stopped taking passports from Hudson County, NJ---b/c they were mostly fraudulent. The latino HC Clerk was then given a high post in then Dem Gov Corine's admin.

Vote-crazed pols are using US gvt authority and tax dollars to foment hatred againt America and Americans.

AN EXAMINATION OF LA RAZA STUDIES---SCHOOL CURRICULUM: These shocking quotes are taken directly from A LA Raza textbook "Occupied America" (pg. 167): “Supporters would execute all white males over age 16,” (also known as the Plan of San Diego). LA Raza school textbook chapter from “Occupied America,” by Rodolfo Acuña, includes a speech given by university professor Jose Angel Gutierrez: “We have got to eliminate the gringo, and if worst comes to the worst, we have got to kill him,” (pg. 323).

La Raza books also talk about the need for the govt of Mexico to re-take seven states in SW United States. so that the Southwest USA would become a Chicano nation. And judging by Ramos' activities---La Raza is establishing a beachhead in NJ.

YOU ARE PAYING FOR THIS In 2005 alone, $7.9 million in taxpayer funding was given to "La Raza charter schools" via the US Dept of Education grants. These charter schools stress Latino culture, the Spanish language, the re-conquest of the American Southwest, the establishment of the mythical Atzlan on US soil, and even Aztec math.

In addition to using taxpayer funds to enforce the teaching of murdering Americans and latino violence, the federally-funded La Raza organization operates 100 charter schools across America.

Vote-crazed pols are concerned only w/ getting entrenched in office, and achieving higher office, on the backs of mainstream Americans---using MSM Americans for their personal gain.

We have to scare the beejezus out of 'em---let the creeps know WE KNOW what they're up to. It's appalling that a few narcissistic pols can corrupt a Nation---making unconscionable demands on the citizenry. Allowing law-breakers and foreign countries to exert a stranglehold on a free country. NOT what the Founders intended.

ACTION NOW Hispanic pressure groups---"Voto Latino" AND other latino groups lobbying Congres for amnesty----- need immediate investigation:

(1)to determine the scope and dimension of Voto Latino and other Hispo/lobbying groups using pressure tactics on Congress (a violation of US law).

(2) Hispo/lobbying groups and Voto Latino's exchanging votes for amnesty (a violation of US law).

(3) Hispo/lobbying groups and Voto Latino's sources of funding---whether tax dollars are illegally funding legislative initiatives, and, whether foreign countries are funding their activities.

(4) whether Voto Latino is using hate-mongering against amnesty opponents to force a vote.

IRS toll free 1-800--829-1040

PARA-MILITARY DEMOCRATS A RELIC OF CIVIL WAR Carpetbaggers---Northern invaders into the South ----were prominent in politics until 1875, but nearly all left under pressure from the Red Shirts and White Liners -----white paramilitary organizations, then-described as "the military arm of the Democratic Party", working openly to violently overthrow Republican rule, using intimidation and assassination to turn Republicans out of office and suppress freedmen's (former slaves) voting.

The Republican sheriff of Yazoo, Mississippi, received a brief flurry of national attention when insurgent white Democrats took over the county government and forced him to flee. (WIKI)

FREEPER ACTION MEMO In 1875, Hiram Revels, a Mississippi Republican--and the first African-American US Senator--wrote to then-Pres Ulysses S. Grant denouncing Northern invaders into the post-Civil War south for manipulating the Black vote for personal benefit, and for keeping alive wartime hatreds. (WIKI)

We need to get someone with integrity----like Cong Allen West (not reelected)----- to write letters to his colleagues, and to the media.

Cong West needs to do the following:

(1) decry the agitation and intimidation tactics being used by latino groups,

(2) expose latinos using hatemongering for personal gain,

(3) emphasize the illegalities WRT threateing the US Congress, and,

(4) precpitate investigations into fraud.
