Posted on 01/29/2013 12:44:05 PM PST by Jonah Vark
There is no war on terror for the Obama White House, but there is one on Fox News.
In a recent interview with The New Republic, President Obama was back to his grousing about the one television news outlet in America that wont fall in line and treat him as emperor. Discussing breaking Washington's partisan gridlock, the president told TNR,"If a Republican member of Congress is not punished on Fox News...for working with a Democrat on a bill of common interest, then youll see more of them doing it."
Alas, the president loves to whine about the media meanies at Fox News. To him, these are not people trying to do their jobs. No, they are out to get him. What other motive could a journalist have in holding a president accountable? Why oh why do Ed Henry and Chris Wallace insist on asking hard questions? Make them stop!
.......Whether you are liberal or conservative, libertarian, moderate or politically agnostic, everyone should be concerned when leaders of our government believe they can intentionally try to delegitimize a news organization they dont like.
In fact, if you are a liberal as I am you should be the most offended, as liberalism is founded on the idea of cherishing dissent and an inviolable right to freedom of expression.

Fascist dictators always do this to people who refuse to spew the regime’s propaganda.
When the President starts calling out News agencies, it shows his immature, ignorant, unprofessional, lack of respect for the freedom of speech we all have. In other words he’s an idiot.
Wow! That's revolutionary? What conservative doesn't support this concept?
But I'm glad to see her taking on Lord hussein. What's liberal about that?
I don’t know what Hussen’s so worried about, Fox has been trying to “come on line” for a while now and shed their image as the mouthpiece for the right. Didn’t he watch the election coverage when every other guest absolutely drooled over him? If that’s not good enough, then he must expect them to fall down and bow 5 times a day towards the White Hut. Knowing his insane, and insatiable, desire for uncritical worship, he probably expects nothing less.
Kirsten is seeing the undeniable and saying so. She may never work again, among the Left.
It will take some Lefties waking up to reverse political and fiscal collapse in this country. She sounds furthe to the Right than Scarborough, which is ironic, since he is the token Republican for the moonbats channel, at *MSLSD. (MSNBC)
* ala Mark Levin
Wow! Liberal Kirsten turns into Warrior Princess. What’s next? “My first trip to a firing range, it was fun!”
Conservative is the new liberal and the old liberals are now the Bourgeoisie.
Sure they would have to fabricate a reason to do so but why doesn’t obozo just sick the FCC on to Fox and close em down?
We must rally to the standard of Fox News! Tea Party! grab your tricorn hats and rattlesnake flags and march for FOX. All conservatives must support the single news service that is trying to be fair and balanced. Boycott the rest of the MSM! Now is not the time to be silent! To the Libertards—silence means consent. There days are numbered if we stand up. Failure to act is to give them permission to snap on the steel chains of tyranny. Gather citizens of the Republic, while we still can, march while we can without bloodshed because sure as God made little green apples, the day will come when Americans will be shot down in the streets like as happened in Iran.

“The Venezuelan government has moved forcefully in the past two days against the only nationwide private TV broadcaster critical of President Hugo Chavez, staging a series of legal and police actions against the station and its owner.”
Obama suffers from the Lanza/AlQAeda/NK-Kim mental illness. Liberals have made a barabasian mess of choosing him and barabasian laws. It’s interesting how clueless AMerica is about its own cluelessness.
Makes me wonder why Kirsten stays liberal. Did fox make her write this column?
Double agent Fx News is a major part of the reason for Obama still being in office imo.
More specifically, Obama guard dog Fx News routinely ignores Congress’s constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers in public policy discussions, Fx also ignoring Article V and the 10th Amendment. If Constitution-ignorant voters were brought up to speed on these constitutional statutes then Obama probably would not be in office now.
Could it be because Fox News calls it just like it is, like the little kid who said the emperior had no clothes?
Fox should just go all out on all the Obama crimes relentlessly from now on. Make the crybaby really throw a tantrum. Ratings would skyrocket.
I look at Fox as being half wrong where DumBO is all wrong.
Dictators have always needed an enemy to direct their followers anger towards to facilitate the request for more power over everyone. Hussien Obama no more, no less than what we see in history.
Or maybe her contract is up and she’s angling for a raise.....
I see at least nine out of fourteen characteristics in the Obama regime. Controlled Mass Media is #6.
Fourteen Defining Characteristics Of Fascism
By Dr. Lawrence Britt
Dr. Lawrence Britt has examined the fascist regimes of Hitler (Germany), Mussolini (Italy), Franco (Spain), Suharto (Indonesia) and several Latin American regimes. Britt found 14 defining characteristics common to each:
This was reported just yesterday. I fear that it could happen in the United States if our Congress doesn’t act soon to stop Obama from overstepping his Constitutional authority.......
Iran cracks down on media before election
(Reuters) - Iranian authorities have arrested more than a dozen journalists in the past two days over their links to “anti-revolutionary” media, Iranian media reported, in what appeared to be a coordinated crackdown on the press.
With a presidential election five months away, Iran’s clerical leadership appears to be tightening its grip on the media to avoid a repeat of the widespread protests that erupted after the disputed election in 2009.
Dictators are all the same:
Free press gagged by Zimbabwe’s new media law
16 Mar 2002
FLUSHED with the success of his stolen election victory, and shrugging off international criticism, President Robert Mugabe yesterday enacted a draconian media law which all but gags the independent press...(snip)
It will prevent journalists from working in Zimbabwe unless they are approved by a government commission headed by Jonathan Moyo, the information minister.
Maybe Kristin Powers stopped drinking the Kool-Aid. She was also critical about the 60 Minutes Obama/Clinton Lovefest.....
Kirsten Powers: 60 Minutes Interview With Obama and Clinton Was on the Level of State-Run Media Propaganda
It was really something you would expect from like, the state-run media. It was that kind of level of propaganda as far as Im concerned. I can understand maybe in agreeing to the interview, letting them have maybe one softball question in the beginning and then move on to more important things. This was a joke.
FOX News has done a fine job delegitimatizing themselves without any help from Zero—Stopped watching them ages ago.
FOX News often shies away from reporting on the complete truth about Obama but FOX and Rush are the only major media forces that stand in the way of complete control of the mass media by this regime. That’s why Obama is complaining that FOX and Rush are standing in his way.
Fourteen Defining Characteristics Of Fascism
6. Controlled Mass Media - Sometimes the media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.
I do not see how she can remain a lib/rat now that she recognizes that the 'rat party is the Alinsky party. I used to be a 'rat. Voted for Mondale, Dukakis and B.J Clinton. I had some friends who asked me why I still voted 'rat, as all my positions seemed to be conservative. By '94, I was a solid conservative; listening to Rush, reading conservative magazines, etc and helping to vote in the '94 Republican House majority.
Kirsten seems to value the first amendment, and a free and unbiased media; so I fail to see why she stays among the Alinskyites. Maybe she'll realize she has little in common with them anymore as I did.
However, I seem to have little in common with the GOP(e), either.
