"This 2013 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2013 Act takes effect on its passage."

More kneejerk actions

"..an emergency is declared to exist.."

These peeps have gone postal.

For some unexplained reason they are hysterical.

Per Lewis Carrol:

"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean—neither more nor less."

"The question is," said Alice, "whether you can make words mean so many different things."

"The question is," said Humpty Dumpty, "which is to be master that's all."

Oregon needs to legislate limits on the dimensions of tuna fish cans.

It strikes me as odd that the press has been consistently referring to standard issue magazines as “high capacity” magazines. The ordinary M1A (M-14) or AR-15 (M-16) magazine was 20 and 30 rounds, respectively. “High capacity” would be more than that only, and the ridiculously small tin boxes (or polymer) they propose to make a requirement are actually “low capacity”.

To my Oregonian FReepers: I will gladly buy your hi-cap magazines for pennies on the dollar while your elected officials rape your rights.
