OK, I get it — you had a close brush with a pedophile in your youth that you associate with the LDS people running the Scout camp. From this you’ve extrapolated your views on all things LDS so they can’t possibly run their own youth organization separate from the BSA should the BSA choose to follow the path of least resistance.

Again, I get it and please note that I’m neither LDS nor am I in agreement with any part of their theology. I also was not particularly enamored of Romney as the presidential candidate for the GOP last year. We agree on that much.

Nope, no close brush - just an awarenes of who Slusher was.  That summer I had the pleasure of working at the rifle range with a cantankerous ol' former drill Sgt, not Loyd, the repeat offender pedophile.

Several years later there was another Mormon running PV.   IIRC, there was a week or two where there were nothing but Mormon troops at PV.  My impression was that Mormons had a substantial presence in various BSA councils around Colorado. 

 

Maybe it's the masonic nature of both that renders the association.   That's just speculation. This, OTOH, is FACT:
