Ubetcha! There are a lot of “LIV” comments to postings in here that unfortunately that run into that category. They don’t have to do any “trolling”. But this one is pretty blatant. What is surprizing to me I’m getting responses to a posting made cycles back. What’s happening is that FR’s is becoming a vent and drop off it’s not an exchange of ideas like it was back when.

Agreed. The LIV is alive and well on FR. The danger is that conservatives are starting to sound just like bumper-sticker liberals. We’re losing our intellectual edge if we don’t stop emoting and start thinking.

The Obama Admin just wagged us all on the ridiculous and DOA “Assault Weapons Ban”. It drove all kinds of bad news, but particularly Benghazi out of the news cycle and the minds of Americans.

We call the GOP the stupid party, but we’re cracking the whip.

Nice idea, but most air travel is business-related, so unless you are trying to shut down commerce in the USA, your suggestion will be counterproductive.

Rubio on Rush said something yesterday which I thought accurately portrays the state of the World: America is mankind’s last hope...if we go down, there is no place to go.

Interestingly, Russia had a constitution very similar to ours. The problem was the Commies did not follow it.

We are rapidly moving in that direction as we are not following ours now either. What were a few changes here and there like the direct election of Senators and the passage of other amendments which included the “income tax amendment” morphed into not bothering to change the language in the bill of rights, rather, using laws which were later found to be “constitutional” such as the Patriot Act and condemnation of property to allow for higher taxes to more quickly water down or defeat enumerated rights. Now we allow a president to rule by edict without regard to any bounds and there is a ho hum reaction by both parties.

Deprive the gubmint from taxes where you can. You need anything done to your house? pay the contractor under the table. He can do the work after regular workhours. That way he makes extra money and you do not pay taxes on the job.

Is there a leader coming to the forefront? A specific group or organization? Oath-keepers? Or is this a leaderless rebellion?

I feel rudderless...

We really should study how the Brits, Aussies etc. dealt with the disarming efforts of their governments. What worked,what didn’t, and so forth. The time to do that is right now. Let’s learn from it and not be unprepared when the time comes.

People won't have a choice of the things you speak of. I suggest you do a web search for "selco bosnia" and read how life was in Bosnia during their war. Will you still think people will be watching "Okrah?"

The survivors will be overwhelmingly conservative and will have a good chance of re-instituting a "Constitutional Republic."

The current regime has made quite a lot of good people very angry.

If your question was directed at me, I am not advocating an armed rebellion...has not worked well before and won’t now because the media will portray any group doing this as wide eyed rightwing zoobies.

The way back is to get behind leaders who support your cause i.e. 400K marched on DC against abortion the other day, thousands marched locally against second amendment violations etc. We are never going to convince the 100% committed lefties to change, we don’t have to, but we must convince the 70% or so who are not committed lefty voters to move toward conservatism views.

The last election was a good example, Romney and presumable more than a few republicans lost elections because not enough people voted for them. The lefties were not able to duplicate their turnout from 08. A few hundered K changes in votes for the non obama, not just into not voting, and the outcome of the election and the course of the country would have been altered. Maybe not the conservative panacia we would like but at least the jerk would not have been free to turn ever farther to the left then he was before. Inertia must be stopped before change can occur.

Just like turning a ship, change is not going to happen overnight.
