A little off topic, but as a
HYPOTHETICAL exercise, it would be amusing to kidnap David Gregory (assuming you could find when him he's not protected by armed guards), take him to one of the "fun" areas of DC, handcuff him to a lamp post, hand him an AR 15 and a single 10 round magazine, yell something hostile to get the neighbors' attention, and drive off.
Then circle back in an hour to see how he fared, and whether his attitude had changed. Just as a hypothetical exercise.

Not only is the 2nd Amendment being trampled, but now we have a trampling of the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment by making government officials more equal than non-government officials. This kind of crap is common in all the California gun control laws. Feinstein thinks it will fly at the federal level.
Fourteenth Amendment
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. It is an inalienable right that government officials keep their own assault weapons. Inalienable, in their religious climate-change god, sense.
The rationale is that it protects these govt officials from a tyrannical populace that might rise up just because they want to keep a little individual liberty.
