It may not stay in the U.S.; selfless service to the nation at high cost - to the extent of even one’s life - is not much in fashion these days.
My father served for two years in the Pacific theater during WWII. My uncle served in the Atlantic and the Pacific theaters. Both also served during Korea and Vietnam. My brothers and I served in and during Vietnam, Persian Gulf Expeditionary Ops, and Gulf War I.
Mr. Brown: Do not dishonor the service and sacrifice of so many Americans by selling out to a foreign interest. Donate the statue to a reputable, patriotic war/veterans museum so that honor can be preserved.
