Rest assured the standards will be lowered and the public will not be told.

That's a given ... no way, with very few exceptions, could a women pass the physical demands of special operations units as they currently stand. It would be the equivalent of a women making it in the NFL, NHL, or NBA ... can't happen unless the standards are lowered.
It's interesting how all this BS got started with Slick Willie (draft dodger), 'O' bummer with no military experience (his draft registration like many other documents appears to fraudulent) and Panetta with two years stateside duty in Army intelligence nearly 50 years ago.

Was listening to a radio show today. A caller said for some strange reason there are alot more soldiers passing Ranger school than ever passed it a couple of years ago. This caller, a former Ranger, said he has heard where standards have already been lowered, that rumors of women coming into the special forces have been heard for a couple of years now. He had no way to prove it, but he absolutely believed it, saying it makes no sense that a higher percentage of soldiers are passing training now that passed it in the past.
It makes sense to me.
