To: Principled

If you went out to find Senators who retired in the 1980s...I suspect most would say the current environment is toxic and stressful. In the 1930s and 1940s....if you were a Senator...you’d take most afternoons off in the summer and attend baseball games. You might have put twelve hours of work in...in a normal week. Today? You get dragged out to do interviews with various news media groups and I doubt if you get more than six hours of sleep a night during the week.

Cry me a river. These individuals who become senators are very wealthy and usually corrupt on many levels. Maybe they’ll work themselves to death and do all of us a favor.
