Laws for thee but not for me. Why do I as a law abiding citizen have to give up the weapon that I have had for many years and never once fired a shot in anger?
Seven And Thirty: In New York, tax slaves are officially worth one-quarter of a government overlord

Because they plan on doing things that will make you angry.
Liberals love to cite Blackstone's Ratio, that it is better to allow 10 criminals escape than allow one innocent to suffer.
Unless you are a conservative. Then, making the innocent suffer is valid because they do not see conservatives as anything other than criminals.
Pigs will fly before this old battleaxe’s weapons ban will pass Congress. Hell, I don’t think nothing will pass. It’s all smoke and mirrors to try and convince the public that only democrats care about “the children”, while at the same time believing in abortion on demand up through 9 months. To hell with these hypocritical bastards.
You don’t have to. And you won’t be alone if you don’t. But, at some point you may have to fire a shot in anger.
“...Why do I as a law abiding citizen have to give up the weapon ...”
You don’t. It’s a choice. You either choose to comply, or you don’t.
There’s consequences, sure; how many are willing to bear them? That’s the question.
But there is always the choice. Nobody can ever take that away.
And it’s the same choice as the Founding Fathers and the ordinary folks of their day who just wanted to live out their lives, raise their families according to their belief in God, love their land and Country, and be left the hell alone had to face. Same as us, here, now.
And they agonized over it, same as us, here, now.
It’s all pretty simple when you put it in perspective.
We’re here, we live, we do some things, and then we die. Hopefully, the things we do are good things that leave the world a little better than what we inherited.
And we inherited a pretty damned fine place, paid for in blood and lives.
We owe it to those people who paid that bill to make sure that it’s STILL here after us.
Might be a simplistic way of seeing things...but I’ve found that the simple view is often the right one...
“Laws for thee ... “
It’s not much different from the Democrats’ attitudes about the Affordable Care act and exemptions, guards in what schools, what is `private property’ and on-and-on.
I was saying to the wife just before dinner that this country is starting to resemble medieval England: No `poaching’ in the king’s forests, higher-and-higher taxes, only `gentlemen’ wear swords, and on-and-on.
And Congress—federal government generally—is looking more-and-more like Orwell’s bloody swine.
Revelations 14: 18 And another angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe.
19 So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
Their agenda is becoming crystal clear.
I wonder how many gun owners voted for obama.....
