Seems to me that they’ve opened themselves to prosecution with this announcement that they have approved illegal activities in pursuit of their goals.

they’ve opened themselves to prosecution...

They certainly have. And Holder will get right on it! (he's a tad busy just at this moment with F&F and the new black panthers)

The Sierra Club has always been careful to insulate themselves (and their substantial assets) by forming front groups, as I had indicated in my prior email.

However, environmental activism and protests are Big Business. In the case I was involved in, the “protestors” had their own professional video crew to film them, and most of them were flown in from other parts of the country and given hotel rooms so they could participate in the “protest.” Several who tried to provoke a violent confrontation with us and workers on the job site were miked and had hidden video cameras—if they could get a reaction on tape, they could then doctor it up to make it look like we were the aggressors and bad guys. So they swung shovels and pickaxes at us, and taunted and swore at us, and threatened to destroy construction equipment. Fortunately, one of the undercover policemen who was with us leaned over and said, “be careful, they’re wired.”

It turned out later this was all part of a coordinated national fundraising campaign, using our project as something the enviros were “saving.”

This is why I rooted for the Japanese whalers in “Whale Wars.” I’ve seen it firsthand and know it is all a scam, the enviros really don’t care about the whales, they are just out to make money through publicity and public outrage.
Here’s just one story exposing a part of the Sea Shepherd Society scam:

Prosecuted? By whom? That's the problem -- they can do this because they know they'll get away with it.
