Done in Convention at Poughkeepsie in the County of Dutchess in the State of New York the twenty sixth day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Eighty eight.

I love the legalese of that time.

All the original states were instructed to draw up their State Constitution PRIOR to the Federal Constitution. They can be found at the Avalon Project. They also contain rights.
The Federal Constitution extends the basic Rights enumerated in the Bill of Rights rights to future States and territiories or to those states where these basics are not mentioned.

I've been trying to stay out of court and such places. I suppose I was mostly referring to this way of dating documents:
...in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Eighty eight.
Are you certain that is still the way it is done? I hope so.
