RE :”hope yer right dude...just watched the cnn feed of the *assault weapons ban 2013*...
the talking points are in place, and the potential for compromise, as usual, will allow a few more progcomm steps...
how many of these people are willing to fall on their swords for a couple wheelbarrows full of bambam dollars ???”

The DINOs in the Senate are already scared of these votes and they know the gun ban will never see a vote in the House .

If Reid does get something very weak through the Senate with 1 or 2 GOPn votes Bohner and Cantor can just say
“We have to get the budget resolved before we take up anything else, that is this nation's #1 threat”

OPPPs, no gun vote.

How about this, the House afterward(after the Senate) passes a compromise bill that strengthens background checks but makes gun free zones illegal for schools ??, that should kill it. LOL

“...strengthens background checks ...”

Just curious...How do they “strengthen” a background check?

PA already does NICS and state level PICS. If you’re a criminal or a mental history patient, it shows up immediately and you’re denied the transfer.

This is Political Weasel-speak for outlawing private long-arm sales and family pass-down, nothing more. Handguns already have to be transferred by an FFL, and PA SP keep a database (which is illegal by the way).

But once again, only “law-abiding” people do things this way. It prevents ZERO crimes, because the scumbags committing the crimes don’t follow the law.

It’s never been about crime; it’s always been about removing our collective ability to tell THEM to “GFYselves”.

We will fight this to the end of our days, just as we have been doing since Slick Willie was in office.

PA Reps (GOP, of course) are working on passing a 2nd Amendment Protection bill to nullify federal level attempts to take our rights. We have the House, the Senate, and the Governor house.

We’ll see.
