“With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest, or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided they would go kill some Americans.
What difference, at this point, does it make?
It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again.”
IMO, Hillary’s outburst was one of her many memorized speeches waiting for an opportunity.

Notice what she didn’t say: OR, a coordinated, planned terrorist attack.

One other Hillary statement caught my attention:
Sen Barasso: The President also said “AlQaeda has been decimated,” and in light of the recent terrorist activities that we continue in North Africa and around the world, would you characterize that as ‘AlQaeda has been decimated?”
Hillary: “Well core AlQaeda certainly has been. I think you would hear the same from the intelligence community or DoD. The work that has been done in Afghanistan and the borders area between Afghanistan and Pakistan certainly has taken out a whole cadre of leadership.
What we are seeing now are people who have migrated back to other parts of the world where they came from primarily who are, in effect, affiliates-—uh, part of the JIHADIST SYNDICATE. Some of them like AQIM use that name. Others use different names.
But the fact is they are terrorists; they are extremists; they have designs on overthrowing existing governments, even these new Islamist governments; controlling territory, so although there has been decimation of core AlQaeda in the Afghanistan/Pakistan region, we do have to contend with the wannabes and the affiliates going forward.”
Let’s see if anybody in the House listened this AM and follows up with that line of questioning in the House —
So What difference (at this point) does it make? Let’s list the reasons:
1. In one case, the event would have been ‘being in the wrong place at the wrong time’ - an accident. But what happened in Benghazi was planned, deliberate, and WARNED. Yet we allowed it to happen with no response whatsoever.
2. It means that people still hate us and want to kill us for being Americans. What have you done to protect our people abroad as a result? (Answer: obviously nothing, after the Algerian oil field incident - you could even argue that are enemies are becoming emboldened again)
3. It means that we cannot trust our government to rely on anything as a truthful statement. Even something that was overtly known to be a lie within mere hours of first reporting.
4. It means that we cannot count on our government to defend us from “all enemies, both foreign and domestic”, as they are sworn to do.
