Additionally, our local talk radio guy Michael Berry raised about $30,000 for Mr. Wood.

Thank you. There is good in this world. And I’m thankful they’ve caught the perps.

I listen to Michael Berry on the computer here in Indiana, Pa.
He’s refreshingly honest.
God bless Mr Wood - and God bless the marines and others who helped him. I hope those two teenagers are hanging their heads in shame.

What hearts these Marines have....from Toys for Tots to things like this.
I grew up near Camp Lejeune and Cherry Point, couldn’t stand the (pardon the expression) Jarheads. Now I just wish the Navy community was as caring.

I watched the video and it made me cry... so much wonderful support! God Bless those Marines for offering help and visiting Mr. Wood. I am so happy that Wood’s house will be repaired.. it would be very difficult for him to just look at all that mess. Thanks for posting, Humblegunner (you big ole’ teddy bear!)

Who are the people who have trained and shaped the brains of these kids, such that they would consider this veteran should be a target in the first place?

I worry about the man. What or who will protect him going forward? You know the punks or other thugs will be back. At the least, the old guy should have a security system.

Turn the 13 and 16 year old perps over to the Marines for some very serious “awareness” training. I guarantee they will have a new appreciation of others lives and property.

It’s up to $50K now, with checks personally delivered to the station - not counting any mailed.
