Today is a special day in the life of America. Not only do we commemorate the life of Martin Luther King, but we also witness the inauguration of the president in his second term. Yet, in the midst of these celebrations, we acknowledge that we are a nation that is somewhat broken for we have moved far from You. Through our sins and our unwillingness to acknowledge You as Lord of our lives, we have allowed satan to steal, kill, deceive, and destroy in this nation. But gracious, Lord, we find comfort in the words of the prophet Isaiah who assures us that Your hand is not shortened that it cannot save, neither is Your ear heavy that it cannot hear. We acknowledge, Lord, that the nation that confesses its sins and repents can still receive the blessed inheritance of all that Christ died to provide for us. Father, as prayer warriors, speaking on behalf of our nation, we pray for Your forgiveness and for Your help in guiding us back to the Cross. We cannot do this without You, Father, but with You we have the confidence of Your help.
We pray for righteousness to be established once again in our government. We seek leaders whose hearts belong to You. And we pray that You would turn the heart of our president and all religious and political leaders to You.
Grant safety and protection to our military men and women, Lord. We plead for their lives as they endure great dangers on foreign soil. And we pray for their minds to be renewed as they return to our nation. So many have lost their will to live because of the lies the devil has inflicted upon them. Help them, Lord, through Your people and the truth of Your Word, to have new purposes and goals in their lives as they return home.
No other answer will provide us with the healing that You, Lord, will give. Not only do You heal bodies and minds that are broken, but You also heal nations that have been severely injured. We come to You, Lord, seeking Your healing for America. Make haste to help us, O Lord. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Pray without ceasing for America and Israel.
Pray without ceasing for America and Israel.
Praying with You For Our American Heroes and Our Nation.
Amen
Father in Heaven,
I am grateful that no matter who is the president, who is in congress, You are Lord and are still on the Throne. As spoken in the Psalms - It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
May we look to You alone for our salvation as You work in Your mysterious ways of perplexing circumstances to bring us to our knees and closer to You.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
Hear my cry, O God;
Attend to my prayer.
From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For You have been a shelter for me,
A strong tower from the enemy.
Ps. 61:1-3
Psalm 91
1. He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest
in the shadow of the Almighty.
2. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.
Amen to your powerful prayer, Faith
Deliver us from the evil of our ill-chosen government “leaders” and may they be discredited amongst their blind supporters and brought down completely and thoroughly ! Amen.
Amen.
