Where did you get the idea that there was divorce? For the life of me, I'll never understand why people on both sides of the political spectrum rush to try to categorize people that do these terrible things.

Because the 40 year old woman is referred to as the husband's wife, not the shooter's mother. Sorry for going with the information as presented. BTW, the local papers says she is the shooter's mom, so I will see what comes out over the next few days.

Oops, this is the local paper article, the NY Daily News says she was the shooter’s mom. I tend to put more credence in the local papers with these kind of events. Other posters are saying there were two families involved here.
