The Air Force today said it found 32,216 instances of inappropriate or offensive material at bases around the world including explicit magazines at its Air Education and Training Command headquarters in San Antonio during inspections late last year.
The service found 631 instances of pornography in the health and welfare inspections at more than 100 installations worldwide.
It also reported finding 27,598 instances of inappropriate material, ranging from posters and calendars to graffiti.
At the AETC headquarters on Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, 40 explicit magazines were uncovered.
The items there and elsewhere were documented or destroyed, the Air Force said.

Incredible that someone is actually documenting the finds, reporting it, and that we are seeing command wide numbers. Don’t they have something better to do with their time.
That is just pitiful. The inspectors, not what they found.
“An’ if sometimes our conduck isn’t all your fancy paints,
Why, single men in barricks don’t grow into plaster saints;”
What they didn’t tell you was it was gay porn.
(Seriously, that would probably be alright, if not required. Sigh!)
Runway Supervisory Unit. No, I'm not AF. I worked in the Motor Pool for a contractor at Willy, when Willy was a base.
By getting rid of the straight nose art and going gay.
first saw that B24 on a trip to Wright-Pat AF museum in 1970. Have a picture of it somewhere at home.
I first saw it there as a boy, on a visit to the museum with my dad. Gave him an opportunity to enlighten me as to some of the ‘facts of life’ ...
and then there is Angeles........ Items too numerous to grasp
The study is positively trivial compared to Angeles
So they found the magazine rack at the AAFES store...
Just after I left UPT, they banned the "Dollar Ride" collages that students gave their IPs.
I always got a laugh out of serious briefing and learning at a table with such...uh....artwork under the glass.
No, no, no. Those were 'fashion shows'.
Enough about your personal fanstasies. ;)
Exactly my thought....how much labor did it take to do this nonsense.? What Exactly is a inappropriate image...? NFL Cheerleader poster?
In my 20 years in the Air Force the only girly boys I ran into were sailors.
I was a flight simulator instructor at Willy 1973 - 1979.
Strawberry Bitch is a magnificent restoration, esp seen up close and personal. Apparently, tho, her ball turret is being “borrowed” to put it in Memphis Belle.
Notice the slight color differentiation in the desert pink on the nose? That’s from the USAF Museum messing up the nose markings and having to do a partial repaint..
Thank goodness they didn’t go search life support ....lots of inflatables there....
Willy was in the middle of nowhere back then. It’s on the edge of nowhere now.
