The service found 631 instances of pornography in the health and welfare inspections at more than 100 installations worldwide.
It also reported finding 27,598 instances of inappropriate material, ranging from posters and calendars to graffiti.
At the AETC headquarters on Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, 40 explicit magazines were uncovered.
The items there and elsewhere were documented or destroyed, the Air Force said.

Glad to see boys are still being boys.
Shocked!!!
During much of my career, they could have found that much in one squadron. The RSU (mobile) always had a rather impressive collection of pornographic magazines.
But those days are long gone...
It boggles the imagination!
How did we win two world wars?
I remember the health and wellness inspections however porn wasn’t contraband and my roommate had his fair share.
The female dorms produced some interesting items as well though they were not confiscated or put on display.
Maybe it was because they would have vibrated right off the table?
I still remember the MAC politically incorrect criteria. “Eighteen to eighty, blind or crippled, if they can’t walk we’ll carry them”.
Get rid of all that suggestive “Nose art”. That should be a great morale booster. SSGT, USAF 17 Aug 1961, 16 Aug 1969.
We used to have strippers in the club on base back in the 70s.
I’m curious as to how much of that material was found aboard Air Force One?
After watching one of many TV shows or movies depicting violence, mayhem and killing I am always grateful if a female breast was not shown. We all know breast in not natural and must be hidden but beheading is fine./sarc
I guess if the 2nd Amendment can be rendered moot why not the first.
“in not natural” = “are not natural” two fingers on the touch pad make for some strange edits.
Ensign Pulver ... Underlining the good parts ... No women around ... Can’t hold that against him.
I wonder that if, in this new, enlightened era, gay porn is considered inappropriate ...
They teach children sex education in elementary school and they have classes in high school on how to put on a condom and hand out free condoms. But adults in the military cannot have magazines, posters, and calendars on base. This country and its leaders have gone absolutely insane. We don’t stand a freaking chance in hell of surviving this idiocy.
In Germany, we had Playboy mags in the day room, paid for by the unit. Slot machines in the clubs, that subsidzied the food and the beer. Hamburgers 25 cents, happy hour German beer was 20cents a bottle. This was 72, around 73 they took out the slots, and the prices skyrocketed.
No doubt the porn found was gay porn... it's the Air Force, afterall.
