Obama took out Gaddafi, who had been suppressing al Qaeda in his neighborhood. Now Libya is increasingly an al Qaeda staging area.
There was extensive cooperation between the Obama Administration and the Islamist terrorists in and around Benghazi to assist them in overthrowing Qadaffi. Technical assistance including communications equipment and tactics and strategy guidance was provided. The danger of the vast weapons stores in Libya was known well in advance of the war and yet, the US did nothing to secure them and the weaponry has gone all over North Africa and the Middle East. Even more, the US was running a smuggling operation out of Benghazi until the death of our Ambassador that was sending weapons and munitions to the Muslim Brotherhood, Al Qaeda and other Muslim groups trying to overthrow Assad in Syria. The US has spread chaos, death and destruction all over the region in the name of the Arab Spring.
