Why in America are we to the point that we need armed guards at schools? After we get guards at schools where else will we need guards? playgrounds? little league fields? malls? Maybe we need military patrols in every town?

I think the conversation is going in the wrong direction.

People have conceal carry in a lot of the other places.

The SRAs have been in schools since at least early 90s.

Whether one wishes to admit it or not there are types of military patrols currently in our nation's towns. Soon drones will fill our skies to do more patrolling. It may come a time when one may have to be afraid of who is patrolling on the ground and who is commanding the drone overhead in the sky. To believe otherwise, for all Americans, is to believe humans are not prone to be humans. Everyone loves everyone, and nobody wishes harm to anyone. It does not work that way, and tyrants want one thing .... control. Seriously, I am certain you are a student of history. History reveals the past and the present, and offers a glimpse of our future.

” Maybe we need military patrols in every town?”

Back before GCA 68 and a raft of state laws, there were lots of citizens who were armed. No need for military patrols when you can do it yourself. Crime was lower and there were very few mass shootings. Concealed carry was much more common.

As we disarmed mass shootings and rampant gang crime increased.

America was set up initially to be its own militia.
