Coroner identifies Reno Ave. shooting victim as 14-year-old boy

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner's office has identified 14-year-old Haji Mohamud from Las Vegas as the victim in a fatal shooting on Jan. 12.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, numerous calls about shots fired at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of East Reno Avenue at about 1:30 a.m.

According to the Las Vegas Sun newspaper, "at least 40 people witnessed the shooting... but not one has stepped forward with information."

The two victims were attending a party at the apartment complex when a fight broke out. At this time, no one has been arrested for the shooting.

I see the "no snitch" rule is still in force. Oh well. No justice for Haji. A decent community would act to bring his killer to justice, but if his friends and neighbors can't be bothered to lift a finger, I guess I can't get too worked up.
