FNC “USED” to be on daily in my house.

Now I’m thinking of cancelling cable altogether. Although I will miss Red-eye, K-Gil and Tantaros.....

I had satellite tv for decades because of the instant availability of news as it happened. There used to be some pretty decent programming. However, for the psst few years I’ve wondered why I continued to pay out the nose for a dwindling number of shows that had any semblance of intelligent thought. Finally, FOX was the only reason I kept it. A few weeks ago I realized that FOX was, indeed appeared to be, trying to rival the msm for inane, irrelevent banter and political correctness. I also realized that I was helping pay for the spread of Liberal tripe much more than supporting common sense. So I now have no tv service at all. Some of my friends acted as if I had sold my car and bought a horse and buggy. I now get my news via the internet and listen to Conservative talk radio. I bought dvds and music for myself and my grandchildren. It has been positively liberating and enlightening and I am better informed than ever before.

I did all this before I even heard about “Al” Jazeera, the baby momma show or little rodent Dennis being invited on FOX. Needless to say, I’m glad I made the move. I would advise anyone to assess the value of the programming that’s coming into their homes. You may be a little shocked at what even the Family Package is feeding your kids and grandkids if you take the time to watch. I know I was.

We did, early last year, except for Internet only. We record (on a Personal Video Recorder - a computer) over the air high-definition TV shows like NCIS and Blue Bloods and watch them later when we want. If there is a big news story, local or national, regular over-the-air channels will cover it.

All four family members are watching much less TV and no cable news channels -- not one. I seem happier, the other three say.
