Nailed it. Inherently elitist is precisely right. I've observed a curious little brain stutter on their part when pointing this out. They instinctively know it's hypocrisy, but refuse to acknowledge it. They simply blink, and bleat “some animals are more equal than others.”

They even acknowledge it, and know that it's common understanding that such a situation is wrong, but, their elitism kicks in and their ideology says it's proper and necessary for there to be different rules for different classes of people.

It has to be really psychologically difficult to be a leftist. God has "written His law on their hearts", but their "reason" has told them to disregard this natural understanding of what is righteous and what is wicked.
