So the president said that we have an irrational fear that he is going to take our guns away, then says he’s going to propose banning guns?It's almost as if nobody is actually listening to what he says, anyway, so he says the most outrageous, contradictory things. At least no-one in the media is calling him on it, and his followers don't notice the fallacies.

So the president said that we have an irrational fear that he is going to take our guns away, then says he’s going to propose banning guns? We are not supposed to notice those things. Such as noticing that shooting someone in California has less consequences then shooting someone in Texas.
